Family Support Services
Family Support Services Is Our Resource Navigation and Community Connection Program.
Our Family Support Services team provides supportive resource navigation, hosts peer support parenting groups, organizes community events for families, and builds referral relationships with community organizations that provide services for families from pregnancy to age five.
What Family Support Services Provides
Our Family Connectors work alongside our doulas and peer counselors to ensure families receive the holistic support they need. We can help enrolled families connect directly to a variety of community programs and services including:
- Basic Needs
- Food Resources
- Childcare Resources
- Parent Groups
- Health Insurance Enrollment and Navigation
- Housing and Rental Assistance
- Mental Health
- Domestic Violence Advocacy
- Legal Aid
How to Get Care
Family Support Services is available to families who are enrolled in services at Open Arms. Our peer support groups, Resource Roundtables, and Family Resource Giveaway Events are open to the community, and all are welcome. In partnership with WestSide Baby and other donors, Open Arms families have access to our Baby Boutique of free supplies, including diapers, baby wipes, formula, car seats, breast pumps, lactation accessories, and maternity and baby clothes. You can access the Baby Boutique by connecting with your Open Arms doula and/or lactation support peer counselor.
